Once you create your content, you can either share it to your profile or have it appear on the explore page, which means you can receive engagement from a way wider audience than your followers.
The first step is selecting your audio! You can select any song from the instagram music library or even upload your own sound. The best part, you can select any part of the song that you want to feature in your Reel!
The second step is very simple, all you have to do is set the timer. The timer makes it so that you can record all your content hands free and gives you either 3 or 10 seconds to prepare.
Once you’ve found the perfect song and have your timer set, you can choose from the wide array of effects instagram has to offer! You can also record multiple clips using different effects if you want to incorporate more than one into your content.
Now, you can select the speed you want both your audio and video to run. Want a slow motion video? All you have to do is select the speed option and play around with the different times they have to offer.
Finally, you get to actually shoot your video. Similar to instagram stories, just press down the capture button and record to your heart's desire. The top of your screen shows you how much time you have left to record so you can make the most of your video. Similar to Tik Tok, you can shoot multiple clips in many different settings.
Once you’re done shooting, you can add text to your video! You can choose the duration of the text so you can have it show up throughout the entire video, or only small portions.
Now that you’ve created your masterpiece, press next to share your Reel! From here, you can add a caption and whatever hashtags you want to make sure your content is seen. From here is where you decide if you want this video just on your profile, or also on the Reel’s explore page.
