5 Tips to Successfully Use Instagram Reels for Business

Do Instagram Reels feel daunting to you? Juggling all these trends, and trying to squeeze your business’s purpose in them can feel like a ‘square peg, round hole’ situation. We have 5 tips to help you successfully integrate reels into your marketing plan! But, let’s first talk about what a “reel” actually is.
By now, you’ve heard of TikTok, a social media platform featuring videos up to 3 minutes long. Instagram reels are a similar format to TikTok but videos on Instagram can be a minimum of 3 seconds and a maximum of 30 seconds long.
Post 2-5 reels weekly
Research is showing that Instagram is favoring video content over photos, and therefore Reels do much better in the Instagram algorithm. Reels also appear more frequently on the explore page, allowing your content to be shown to those who don’t follow you!
Stick to trends that align with your product or service offering

These trends can be a really good way for your to relate to the followers! Reels are always a couple of weeks behind TikTok when it comes to the trends, so take a look at TikTok for inspiration!
Don’t skip your regular Instagram feed posts
Posting frequent reels is a great way to grow your following, but it’s equally as important to nurture your existing followers! Regular feed posts are great for tagging products from your Shopify store and using the linkin.bio feature. We use Later to schedule all of our clients’ socials.
